Resolution Year 2001 Resolution Number 6: George Burditt Scholarship
Whereas, George Burditt, Esquire, has been a key Associate Member of the Association of Food and Drug Officials throughout his distinguished legal career, and
Whereas, George Burditt has always willingly shared his expertise in support of the Association, and
Whereas, George Burditt has researched and documented the history of the Association, and
Whereas, George Burditt approached his research as a labor of love and caused to be published such history in honor of the Association’s 100th Anniversary, and
Whereas, George Burditt has instructed us in our history through an annual luncheon skit portraying the Association’s early history, and
Whereas, George Burditt is an integral part of the Association’s history, and
Whereas, George Burditt was a key member of the group that was instrumental in conceiving and developing the AFDO Endowment Foundation, and
Whereas, George Burditt personally worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the Foundation, therefore be it
Resolved, that the Association of Food and Drug Officials by this resolution thanks George Burditt for his work and support of the Association, and be it further,
Resolved, that the Association of Food and Drug Officials recognize this distinguished service by initiating the “George Burditt Scholarship” to be awarded annually by the Association in George’s honor, and be it further,
Resolved, that a copy of the resolution along with a letter of gratitude to be provided to George.
